Designer Pieces
It is like I am a bad designer,
I see now,
you're black and I'm blue,
you're white and I'm maroon,
and everybody knows ,
that colours like those ,
are terribly mismatched,
I'm soft like Tule,
just tug a bit and I tear,
Opened and completely bare,
you're a block out,
a curtain,
hard and unmoved,
and I had thought , well I'm a good designer,
for opposites surely attract,
but wow, now only do I realise ,
that a beautiful dress ,
is made of tules and satin,
and curtains should just be left for hanging.

In todays society...
In todays society we are all human beings with exactly 2 faces, whether you notice it yourself, or in denial or whether you know it, you have two faces. One of the faces, the real you is known by those closest to you and the facade is for those still getting to know you. But both faces are always revealed, and you need to understand that for when one slips off and the other is revealed, you ought to be proud of them both. But, the thing is, that not many are proud of them both, which is where the problem is, often one of your faces are filled with jealousy, hatred or wishing ill on the other person. I personally fail to understand this, what benefit do you recieve in harming another, but taking a closer look, analysing society, this trait has become so common, people have grown used to it, they tend to expect this out of the next person. My question is, really, we say today that the norms of society or rather the rules we are governed by are to make society a better place, but we need to step back and ask the question is it making it better or worse? and are we becoming great or mediocre? We say we want new inventions, technology and great people, we say we want our world to consist of the smartest people, but how smart can people be in a society of conformity? How can we achieve greatness through mediocrity? Instead of abiding to the rules of society we should be rebelling. So take a stand and rebel, voice your opinions and live the life of greatness instead of mediocrity.
